Demi Lovato has been sober for 90 days, after her overdose in July, her mother Diana De La Garza revealed.
"Yes, she has 90 days (sober)" said De La Garza in his interview with "Conversations With Maria Menounos" this Friday.
"And I could not be more grateful and more proud of her because addiction being a disease, it's work."
The mother of the singer of "Sorry Not Sorry" admitted that she did not know the seriousness of the problem before the overdose.
"I knew she was not sober, but let me clarify. I did not know what she was doing ... I just knew that she was not sober. "
When asked what she thought had caused Demi's relapse, De La Garza replied:
"I can not say for sure. I really do not know."
Demi Lovato, 26, was hospitalized on July 24, after being found unconscious in her home in LA, allegedly because of an overdose of heroin . A friend administered Narcan, to reverse the effects of an overdose of opioids.
